The 9x63 configuration on these Bresser Condor’s is very interesting because most binoculars with very large lenses like these, tend to combine them with a very high magnification, however, Bresser have chosen to keep it at a moderate 9x. So what effects does this have?
Firstly the 9x power offers you a little more image detail at a longer distance than you get with your more common 8x binoculars, but at the same time, being a little less than 10x, it helps maintain a wider field of view and makes it easier to keep the image shake to a minimum.
The very large 63 mm lenses enable them to capture more light than smaller ones and thus you are presented with a brighter, higher quality image. This combination also produces a very large 7mm exit pupil which means that these have an excellent low light potential as your eyes will be supplied with plenty of light, even in very poor light conditions when your pupils are dilated.
The downside to these larger lenses is that they increase the size and weight of the instrument, so it is important to note that the Bresser Condor is tripod adaptable which can be very helpful for long-duration observations.
These main features in conjunction with the quality fully multi-coated optical system make these binoculars a great choice for wildlife observers, hunters, and even birders who want an excellent low light performer for mid to long distance observation.
These binoculars also feature a central focus wheel, right-eye diopter adjuster and twist-up eyecups with 17 mm of eye-relief which makes them suitable for eyeglass wearers.
Also included is a padded neck strap, carry bag, lens covers, and a cleaning cloth.
