On hiking, camping trips, birding holidays or just about any outdoors wildlife adventure, the tiny, yet tough 8x25mm version of the Vortex Solo monocular is an ideal choice whenever you need, or simply just want a very lightweight, more compact instrument that is easier to pack and carry about than even the smallest binoculars on the market.
The 8x magnification ensures a wide field of view and an image that is easy to keep nice an stable for the best possible views.
The advantage of the small 25mm lens is that it is able to keep the size of the monocular to a minimum, however, it is not able to capture as much light as larger lenses and thus this monocular is not intended for hue in low light conditions.
The twist-up eyecups allow for micro adjustments the amount of eye-relief, which at 15mm, is more than enough for non-eyeglass wearers. However, this may be a little on the short side if you do need to wear glasses. In this case, the 18mm of eye relief you get with the Vortex Solo 8x36 may make it a better choice for your specific needs.
