Trijicon RMR mounting standard
Trijicon RMR mounting standard is a combination of simplicity and reliability. There is a socket in each of the two front corners in which the recoil-stopping pins on the adapter fit. The mounting standard features two screw holes located close to the middle section of the mounting surface. Once the sight is paired with an adapter, the screws are put into place from above, through the housing of the red dot sight.
The popularity of this mounting standard has grown significantly in the last couple of years, and it is featured on several open reflex red dot sights. Trijicon was the first company to produce a red dot sight with this mounting standard.

It must not be confused with the Trijicon MRO mounting standard featured on some tube red dot sights.
Many optic-ready pistols are designed to be used in combination with a red dot sight that has the Trijicon RMR mounting standard.
Most Trijicon RMR mounts are made from aluminium. They are produced by Trijicon, EGW, Henneberger, Tony System, UTG, and others.
