Mounts
Hawke Frontier 30 rifle scopes are wide angle models, for driven hunting use. Curently there are 2 models available, both 1-6x24, but one has traditional capped turrets, and the other is with exposed lockable tactical turrets, for quick elevation and windage adjustments. The difference is also the reticle, which is in the capped turrets model the standard L4A Dot reticle, and in the tactical version is the Tactical dot reticle, which has real MIL spacings on 6x magnification.
Both models have the reticle set in the second focal plane (reticle size doesn't change with magnification) that is etched into glass to withstand big recoiling rifles. The reticle is also illuminated with 11 brightness settings that is day-time usable, and the illumination turret is located on the opposite side of the windage turret so it is easy reachable.
All lenses are Fully multi coated with 21 layers of coatings, for better light transmission, contrast and resolution. The main tube is made from a single piece aluminum for more strenght, and it is filled with dry nitrogen to prevent internal fogging at low temperatures. The diameter of the mounting tube is 30 mm, so many mounting solutions are available. The magnification ring is ruberized for easy use even with gloves.
The Hawke Frontier 30 rifle scopes can only be mounted with 30 mm rings.
