I was zeroing in my VX Freedom 4-12by40 Leupold scope on my 10 22 Takedown rifle and I bottomed out the scope after continuously raising the elevation on the scope. After bottoming the scope out I am still at least a half inch low if not 3/4 of an inch low. I have never had this happen with many scopes owned in my life. I have always had room for play as far as up down left right never have I bottomed out a scope and still wasn’t zeroed in on my target. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time. If you are unable to zero your riflescope by elevation then the riflescope is probably mounted too high from the rifle's barrel meaning the elevation travel that is needed is much greater than the mentioned riflescope offers.
