Binoculars Nikon 7x50 IF HP WP Tropical are indispensable equipment for sailors and nautical adventurists. With measuring device build in it is possible to measure the size or distance between objects. The housing is as expected a waterproof one but only to depth of 5m. It has also the option of fixing it to a tripod and with its 50mm wide entry lens is also suitable for dusk or low light condition observation where performs excellent. Nikon Marine series has been especially developed for nautical use and for users who want to relay on water resistant and superb optical characteristics. All the binoculars of this series have a Porro prism optical system and are filled with nitrogen to assure the use without any compromise even at really low temperatures or to prevent dewing at the inner side of the lenses. Some of the binoculars of Nikon Marine series are also equipped with build in compass and are especially appropriate for navigational usage. The series is also designed for an easy use with glasses, because of the longer distance between the eye and lenses (eye relief).

Nikon Tropical a Versatile binoculars

I have been using Nikon tropical for a month. Of course, its old model. I had zeiss conquest 8x30. A Compact and high quality binoculars. I was amazed at the quality of the tropical when I first put them on my eyes. Clear image with high detail and high contrast. Even the insects that the swallows hunted in the sky could be seen. In this one month, I only use tropical for bird watching, nature observation and night sky. It's been a week since I sold my Zeiss. And I'm going to use the mylar filter to watch the solar eclipse on Sunday, June 21, 2020. I can only say in one word that tropical is a " wonderful " binoculars

My wife wants a Nikon 7x50 IF WP and I cannot find this so is the new version the 7x50 IF HP WP ???

Both of the models are the newest but are not the same when compared with one another. The Nikon 7x50 IF HP WP Tropical is made out of more quality materials than the 7x50 IF WP and is also ergonomically and optically better.

The IF HP WP Tropical model is essentially a classic pair of binoculars, while the IF HP WP Tropical Scale model also includes a scale for measuring distance.
