The Talos 3-13x40 is a simple and incredibly cheap scope considering what you get with it. It has great lenses, multi coated for a clear and bright image, as well as for protection. The reticle choices are varied and enables the user to get what he really needs. The turrets are precise and the maximal travel is rather large for such a small and light scope. Neither the lightness or price reflect on the quality, as this is one resilient piece of equipment, that will take the kick of any caliber, making it very useful for either hunting or pest control with your favorite long-gun.
Capped turrets make sure there is no undesired dialing and that the dials are protected from the environment. There is an extra side turret for parallax adjustment, which can be set from 9 meters to infinity.
The scope comes in either MIL or MOA option, depending of the reticle used. All reticle choices are set at SFP so they will maintain the perfect size and thickens at any magnification. The BDC system and subtensions are matched at 12x. You can choose either the simple Center-X reticle, or the more advanced BDC 600 illuminated (in MOA) or Mildot (in MIL).
Talos scopes are made with the high quality and extremely resistant single-piece tubes hammer forged out of aircraft grade aluminum. The black finish of the tubes will prevent and glare as well as protect from both wear and tear as well as from the elements.
The lenses are made out of high quality glass and will ensure a sharp and crisp image at all times, as well as let in enough light to enable shooting in most conditions. These scopes are made for on field use and are made very rugged as well as highly resistant to shock and the kick of even the largest calibers. They are also well sealed and are both water and fog proof, and the interior is Nitrogen purged to prevent any internal fogging.
Like any scope out there, mounting is made with any type of mounting rings or single piece mount. A wide range of such products is available on the market and on our web page as well. The Talos 3-12x40 SFP has a tube diameter of 25,4 mm, so the mounting rings need to be of the same size as the scope tube.
