This Talos BTR family member is a perfect all-round hunting scope. A lot of hunters stalk and hunt game at dusk or even night, this scope enables you to do that with ease. The coated, large exit lens lets in enough light, and the reticle has adjustable red illumination for the extra touch. The magnification options also reflect its’ versatility, as with the 4-14x magnification you can hit anything at most any range, and the advanced reticle, which is set at FFP to keep it matched at any magnification option, gets you on target with the first shot when it counts. Otherwise, the scope is rugged enough to withstand the recoil of larger hunting calibers as well as endure the elements when hunting out in the open.
As this is mostly a hunting scope, the turrets are exposed for fast dialing and corrections. The parallax is adjustable from 9 meters to infinity.
This scope only comes in the MIL version with the APLR2 illuminated reticle, set at FFP, so the detailed subtensions will always stay matched in all magnifications. The adjustment graduation is 0.1 MIL per click, with the maximum adjustment for elevation and windage of 20 MIL for both.
Talos scopes are made with the high quality and extremely resistant single-piece tubes hammer forged out of aircraft grade aluminum. The black finish of the tubes will prevent and glare as well as protect from both wear and tear as well as from the elements.
The lenses are made out of high quality glass and will ensure a sharp and crisp image at all times, as well as let in enough light to enable shooting in most conditions. These scopes are made for on field use and are made very rugged as well as highly resistant to shock and the kick of even the largest calibers. They are also well sealed and are both water and fog proof, and the interior is Nitrogen purged to prevent any internal fogging.
Like any scope out there, mounting is made with any type of mounting rings or single piece mount. A wide range of such products is available on the market and on our web page as well. The Talos BTR 4-14x44 FFP has a tube diameter of 30 mm, so the mounting rings need to be of the same size as the scope tube.
The Athlon Optics Lifetime Warranty goes for all Athlon scopes. Athlon Optics commits itself to being the best you can buy, so they will fix or replace your scope should anything go wrong.
