Mounts
The ultimate low light performer. With their very high quality Japanese fully multi-coated optical system and large 70mm objective lenses, you can be sure that these Echelon binoculars not only capture a lot of light but ensure as much of it gets delivered to your eyes as possible for brighter better quality views.
However what really sets this 10x70 model apart from the others in the Echelon series is the extremely large 7mm exit pupil which ensures that your eyes receive more than enough light for you to perceive a bright image, even in extremely low light conditions, like you get when stargazing.
As well as helping ensure a large exit-pupil, the moderate 10x power helps maintain a wide field of view making it easier to scan large open areas or the heavens and pick out objects of interest. It also makes it easier to prevent image shake than higher magnifications, so even though this binocular is tripod adaptable, it can also be effectively used from your hands should you wish.
The individual focus eyepieces allow you to calibrate then to your particular vision and from then on you never have to adjust the focus again as these will remain in focus from their minimum focal distance of around 25 meters, right up to infinity.
The 21.5 mm of eye relief is superb and certainly makes this a great choice for eyeglass wearers.
Celestron Echelon are one of the best high-power binoculars for long-range observations that open your eyes to incredible scenery. Three models with incredible power and 70 mm objective lens can help you see incredibly detailed images of the night sky, especially convenient for every astronomy enthusiast, professional or hobbyist. Scanning of the large open areas will never be so comfortable and fruitful than with Celestron Echelon series that is able to pick out small objects at the longest distances. 20x70 model was awarded as being the best binocular of 2014 and 2015 by Best Binoculars Reviews.
Powerful Echelon series is made using the best build materials and modern optical technology. Aluminum housing makes them extremely durable and rubber armouring which wraps the construction helps to make them resistant to impacts. The surface of the armoring is rugged which helps with non-slip grip to firmly hold them in hands, very convenient when carrying these heavier binoculars. Tightly sealed construction helps to block out the penetration of water and dust, which makes them well protected even if you use them in the rain. They are also purged with nitrogen gas to prevent the internal fogging, making them fog-proof when quick temperature changes occur. Due to its size and power it’s highly recommended mounting them to a tripod, therefore Echelon integrates tripod adaptable screw that helps with steady images.
Echelon binoculars come with hard waterproof carrying case with strap that additionally protects binoculars against moisture and dust. Additional foam padding keeps them safe against impacts. They are also equipped with neck strap for carrying binoculars around the neck, objective lens and eyecup lens covers.
