The 7x magnification in this Celestron binocular is ideal for medium to close range uses. It also helps by making it easier to maintain a steady, shake-free image to help with detailed observation and to reduce eye fatigue during long sessions.
These binoculars also have an extremely wide field of view, which has numerous advantages, but at close range, it really helps you to quickly locate your intended subject and then follow it should it be something small and fast moving like a bird in a nearby bush or tree.
Then you have the 7x35 configuration which produces a 5mm exit pupil that ensures that for a mid-sized binocular, this is a more than capable low light performer.
Thus when you combine their large exit pupil, moderate power and extremely wide field of view, then you have a mid-sized binocular that is easy to carry about or pack away and a fantastic choice for birders, hunters or nature and wildlife enthusiasts who frequently find themselves in dark forests or out at sunset or sunrise and observing nature at relatively close ranges.
Eyeglass wearers should, however, be aware that at 13mm, the eye relief will be fine for most users, but may not be enough for you to get the full image whilst wearing your glasses.
Extremely affordable Celestron UpClose series offers binoculars for a different use, among which are also two zoom models with adjustable magnifications for finest details without the need to move to another location. You can choose between the smallest binoculars on the market with 8x21 configuration and large 20x50 configuration for nighttime observations. You can take them with you on sports events, concerts, when hiking, hunting, birdwatching or looking at the night sky for stars, comets, planets etc. The smallest model has a roof prism design and larger has a Porro prism design that helps to enhance light transmission. UpClose binoculars are multi-coated, using BK7 glass and splash-proof that protects them in damp areas and are equipped with central focusing mechanism instead of the individual.
UpClose binoculars are made out of extremely durable aluminum housing that helps to protect them against impacts together with rubber armoring. Small dimensions that make them compact also help with easier portability and comfortable handling, even when using them for longer periods of time. UpClose binoculars are splash-proof, which means they aren’t waterproof and fog-proof but are still durable and tight enough to prevent damage when used in the damp areas. Fully sized models are also tripod adaptable which allows you to mount them on a tripod and get steadier images.
UpClose series offers binoculars for different kinds of use. Depending on the power and objective lens diameter, you can choose between fixed or zoom configuration. The zoom binoculars allow you to make power adjustments – changing magnification without the need to change the position. The Porro prism system of bigger fully sized models draws in more light and allows you to gather enough brightness even in the low-light conditions which are extremely convenient for astronomy observations. BK7 prisms and multi-coated system also help to enhance brightness, contrast, and colors without major distortions and reflections. They are equipped with central focusing mechanism and left-eye diopter to make proper adjustments. Foldable eyecups have a 12mm eye-relief so it’s suggested to try them on if you are eyeglass wearer.
UpClose binoculars come in a case for storage and protection with a binocular strap. They are also equipped with objective lens covers and eyecups covers to protect the lenses, however, they’re only included in bigger models, not in smaller roof prism models.
