The greater magnification provided by the 10x power on this model delivers greater image detail and provides you with a little more reach which is ideal for the nature lover, wildlife observer or hunter operating in wide-open spaces and over mid to long distances.

However, just keep in mind that the more “zoomed-in” image results in a reduced field of view and whist the good quality optics ensure a bright, high-quality view in the day, the 4.2mm exit pupil created by these and all 10x42mm binoculars mean that their low light ability is not as great as on the 8x42 Kolibri. The result is that this 10x42 DDoptics Kolibri is better suited to those who generally go out in good light conditions.

At 16mm, the eye-relief is more than enough for most users. If you wear glasses and by fully twisting down the eyecups this should also just be enough to ensure you are able to view the full image.

Even though these 10x42 DDoptics binoculars are optimised for mid to long range observation, the 2 meter minimum focus distance is more than acceptable and certainly adds to their versatility.
