About the Telos Series

Pulsar's Telos series champions sustainability through its upgradable design. Introduced following the success of the Helion lineup, the Telos series offers a modular approach to thermal imaging—a first in the market. You can initially purchase the Telos XQ model and later enhance it to the XG, XP, or XL versions. Each model in the series, including the XL50, builds on this modular system, offering enhancements in imaging, functionality, and usability to meet the diverse demands of outdoor enthusiasts and professionals alike. There's also an option to add a laser range finding feature. For any upgrade, return the device to Pulsar. About the Model (Telos XL50)

The Telos XL50 model is outfitted with a Lynred sensor, manufactured in the EU. XL sensor, featured in Pulsar's top-tier device, represents the zenith of their technological prowess and developmental endeavors. Boasting a high-resolution output of 1024 x 768 pixels and a pixel pitch of 12 microns, this sensor delivers exceptional image quality. With the addition of Telos XL to their lineup, Pulsar skillfully meets the varied needs and budgetary constraints of its customers.

The model features 50 mm germanium lens, coupled with a NETD (Noise Equivalent Temperature Difference) of less than 40 millikelvins, which indicates how well the device can distinguish between tiny differences in thermal radiation in the image.

The Telos XL50 provides a 2.5x base magnification and can reach up to 8x with digital zoom. It features an HD AMOLED display designed to perform in temperatures down to -25°C. Users can choose from eight thermal image color palettes, including White Hot and Black Hot, which are particularly effective for improved detection.

The housing of the device is designed to comfortably suit both right- and left-handed users and is made from the same robust polymer used throughout the Telos series. It features two rings on the objective lens: the front ring controls focus, and the second ring is used to adjust the digital zoom.

Optical Properties

The Telos XL50 model has a picture-in-picture (PiP) mode, 8x digital zoom, and 2.5x optical magnification. The maximum detection range is 2300 meters. The angular field of view of the Telos XL50 model is 14° x 10.5°, making the device suitable for scanning large areas. The device also features a built-in video recorder and can capture images. The XL50 features 64 GB of internal memory for storing images and videos.
